We support clients through campaign strategy, social media, digital marketing, outreach, storytelling, and audience engagement.

Position Overview
The Social Media and Digital Marketing Intern supports content creation, social media coordination, digital campaign support, and audience engagement across multiple client projects. This role is designed for someone who wants hands-on experience working across organic social, content support, creator/influencer coordination, and light digital advertising support in an agency setting.

  • Assist with creator and influencer research, vetting, and tracking

  • Help coordinate content approvals and campaign deliverables

  • Support light paid social and digital advertising tasks such as research, organization, screenshot collection, performance pulls, and reporting inputs

  • Monitor social performance and help prepare recap notes and analytics summaries

  • Track trends, audience behavior, and content opportunities relevant to client goals

  • Support general digital marketing and campaign coordination needs across Benefit Branding projects

This role aligns especially well with current campaign work involving influencer identification and vetting, outreach and coordination, content approvals, and day-to-day campaign support, as well as broader client social media needs.

Ideal candidates are:

  • Strong writers with good attention to voice and detail

  • Organized and reliable

  • Interested in social media, digital marketing, content creation, and audience engagement

  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and shifting priorities

  • Basic familiarity with social analytics or paid social platforms is a plus

  • Interest in visual storytelling, campaign work, and digital content trends

  • Prior student organization, freelance, campus media, or internship experience is a plus

Hours, Schedule, and Work Format
This is a summer internship with an expected schedule of generally 12–18 hours per week, with occasional heavier weeks depending on campaign activity, content needs, client timelines, and team meetings. There may also be an opportunity to begin earlier depending on availability and fit for the role.

The internship will be partially remote and partially in person, depending on content needs, meetings, and client activities.

Compensation
$16–$19/hour, depending on experience, availability, and fit for the role.

What You’ll Gain

  • Hands-on agency experience across multiple client accounts

  • Real experience supporting social media and digital campaigns
